The Brazilian Blowout

The Brazilian Blowout

The Brazilian Blowout is the latest hair trend everyone's talking about. You hear about it everywhere, but do you really know what it is, what the treatment truly involves, if it's actually good for your hair, or how it differs from the highly controversial Japanese straightening?

Keratin is inserted into the hair itself, which deeply nourishes and softens it. In fact, it's a 100% natural keratin treatment, unlike Japanese straightening, which will coat the hair: making it supple, silky, and manageable. It's no more complicated than that!
It's ideal for all hair types, as it's primarily a treatment. Even colored hair can benefit from it.

First, the hair is cleansed with a suitable shampoo that thoroughly cleans and removes all residues obstructing the hair shaft.

Unfortunately, quite high: expect around €300 for medium-length hair. And on top of that, few hairdressers perform truly good Brazilian straightenings.

The lovely fashion blogger Marion from the blog MarionRocks made two very well-explained videos about Brazilian straightening, which was done by the Ethnicia salons.

This type of straightening is very interesting for kinky hair because it will simply make straightening and styling easier. So if you're used to struggling with your hair every morning: this is for you. What's more, it won't make your hair stick-straight like Japanese straightening does; your hair will be naturally supple.
